How to stop spam and raids on Discord

Turn on Modu's automod and anti-raid: members who spam get a timeout, blocked words, invite links and other links are removed, and a sudden burst of joins switches on raid mode, where new accounts are flagged, timed out or kicked. A death board channel bans accounts that post in it, which catches hacked and spam accounts that message every channel.

Step by step

  1. 1

Sign in and add the bot

Go to modu.ubits.tech, continue with Discord, and add Modu to your server in one click. Adding it with Administrator lets every feature work without asking for permissions again; Modu's tools still never create or grant Administrator roles.

  2. 2

    Start a plan

The AI agent and every bot feature are in every paid plan, starting with Starter. Pick one on the pricing page; you can change or cancel it any time.

  3. 3

    Turn on automod

Say "Set up automod against spam, invite links and bad words". Spam earns a timeout (you set how many messages and for how long) and blocked words, invites and links are removed.

  4. 4

Add anti-raid and a death board

Ask for anti-raid protection (how many joins in how many seconds count as a raid, and whether new accounts are flagged, timed out or kicked) and a death board. Real members never post in the death board; spam bots and hacked accounts do, and are banned on the spot.

  5. 5

    Log it

Ask for a moderation log so every automatic action is recorded with the reason.

What to ask Modu

  • “Set up automod against spam, invite links and bad words”
  • “Turn on anti-raid”
  • “Add a death board for hacked accounts”

Tips

  • Moderators (Manage Messages) are never filtered, and you can exempt more roles and channels, so staff can post links when they need to.

Questions

What is a death board?

A channel that bans anyone who posts in it. Real members leave it alone, while spam bots and hacked accounts that post everywhere get banned automatically.

Can banned members appeal?

Yes. Ban appeals let a banned member send an appeal that staff review and accept or decline in a private channel.
